As our banking provider has removed the service for members to cash cheques at a number of post offices through the city region, we will no longer be able to issue cashable cheques from 1st July 2017 on loans issued, and from 29th July on cash withdrawals.
In order to ensure that you are not adversely affected by this, we recommend that you complete a BACS authorisation form, giving the details of a bank account that your money can be transferred to for loans and withdrawals, if you have not done so already. If you have an Engage card, this can also be used.
We will continue to issue cash withdrawals to the usual daily limit (£50), but expect that most funds will be issued to a bank account.
Having a bank account to operate with your credit union account is the most efficient, safe and effective way to run your credit union account. If you are unsure about how to set one up, please ask a member of our staff for assistance.
We thank you for your understanding.
