Volunteering

Volunteers run our Stocksbridge Information Point and can help promote Credit Union membership in many ways. Even our Board members are volunteers!

If you would like to assist us in your spare time, please download an application form and post or email it to us. Please bear in mind that we are not recruiting volunteers presently, but we will keep your application on file if you wish us to.

Principles:

  • Volunteers support the work of paid staff to enhance what the organisations deliver.  Volunteers do not replace paid staff.
  • All volunteering is undertaken by choice and no volunteer has been pressurised or forced into volunteering at the organisation.
  • Volunteers have interesting volunteer roles, clearly outlined.
  • Volunteers are treated with dignity and respect as a member of the team.
  • Volunteers receive support and training to help them fulfil their role and develop skills and experience.
  • Travel expenses will be paid.
  • Volunteers are valued and their contribution is appreciated.
