In order to finish processing your loan application we just need your recent bank statements, so that we can complete our income verification and affordability assessment.
We have teamed up with Consents.Online to give you a safe and secure way to provide this information digitally, using open banking technology. It really is as easy as logging in to your online banking!
Customer Feedback: Using Consents.Online
How easy did you find it to use?
How secure did it feel?
How quick did you find it?
If you use online or mobile banking it is really quick and easy. Using the above link you can give your bank permission to share the details needed with us using consents.online. They will then give us one-time read only access so that we can complete our assessment.
If you want to know more about this service or have some questions, please see the "Loans: Providing your bank statements using consents.online" section of our Frequently Asked Questions here.
Of course you don't have to share any details through Open Banking if you don't want to, so if you prefer you can send us your recent bank statements in another way. You can download a PDF copy and email them to lending.team@sheffieldcreditunion.com or provide copies at one of our offices. Please refer to the email you received following your application for instructions on sending bank statements.
PLEASE NOTE
Regardless of how you send your bank statements, we will require additional information if either of the following apply to you:
- If you are receiving Universal Credit as part of your income, we will require a copy of your award letter showing the breakdown of your Universal Credits;
- If you are Self-employed we will require a copy of your latest self assessment tax return, or a letter from your accountant stating your income after business expenses, tax and national insurance contributions.
If this applies to you, please email this additional information to lending.team@sheffieldcreditunion.com or provide copies at one of our offices.
