We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Sheffield Credit Union. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in financial services industry, learn about credit union operations, and develop skills in customer service, financial management and member support.
Member Services:
- Greet members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist members with opening and closing accounts, processing transactions, and answering account-related inquiries.
- Provide information about credit union products and services, including loans, savings accounts.
Administrative Support:
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports and member statements.
Financial Operations:
- Assist in the processing of loan applications and documentation.
- Participate in audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.
Member Education:
- Provide guidance and support to members.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality member service.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of financial principles desirable - not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn credit union-specific software.
- GCSE or equivalent Math’s and English (Grade 4) Essential
